The core purpose of the role of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is to, in collaboration with the Board, set the Institute’s strategy and direction and to effectively execute and deliver thereon; to build the Institute’s image and brand across industries (with existing and prospective members), with relevant regulators and with other member bodies and relevant stakeholders; to ensure that the Institute remains best of breed and up to international standards; to ensure that the Institute remains focused on service and value-add to its members; continuously maintain and grow the membership-base; act as the key representative of the Institute; manage engagement with the Institute’s Board and other governance committees; bear responsibility for the Institute’s sustainability, financial management, technology, company secretarial and public officer functions; manage, support and assist in developing Institute staff. The CEO will be a visible leader who is deeply committed to the organisation's vision and values.

The Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing GED Africa’s regulatory universe, compliance manual and policies, compliance programs. S/he shall assist GED Africa in ensuring that all business operations and activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, as well as internal policies. This role involves educating employees on legal requirements, conducting internal compliance audits, investigating compliance issues, and acting as a liaison between GED Africa and regulatory authorities. The Compliance Officer will assist in ensuring that GED Africa and its subsidiaries function in a compliant and ethical manner while meeting the business goals. S/he shall support the Legal and Compliance Manager and the Head of Legal and Compliance in developing and implementing the legal and compliance strategies for GED as well as provide day-to-day legal and compliance task support.

The Senior Compliance Officer will assist our FSP clients to comply with their statutory and regulatory obligations. This includes implementing and maintaining an effective compliance framework through the provision of compliance risk management services (identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting on compliance risks.

Nedbank’s Wealth Management SA division is recruiting for a Compliance Officer to support their business.
